ĩ, In "file format " there is table of a series of 8 ?. The Graphs operate in "colour Spectrum & X-Y mode correctly I think, but I wrongly thought they were evidence of actual rec. the button freezes in stop position.ĭevice Control seems to be my problem but I follow the help pages and recommended settings. GW freezes no matter what sequence of starting the player or GW rec. As Test set recorded Music from CD ,GW opens it plays beautifully etc.ħ.IN RECORDING ,as in the C NET tute sheets I recorded short excerpt as sound ,get sound ,for up to 28 secs,including all clicks of setting recording arm etc etc.When I select "Ctl/record sound dies /silence ,tried this so many times to eliminate my error ,sound of music playback is generally 4 secs and I cannot better 10secs.Ĩ I recognise system will not playback if REC.is off but now when I select REC. GW has frozen several different times,at end of Deflash,end of Effect etc.Ħ.

In GW Device Control when I try to record I do get a response which appears to reflect variations in sound vol. I take it that Volume in W98 and GW are linked?.

I removed all conflicts and made latest files current,every thing my system can check says enabled /ok etc.Ĭhecked sound recorder with a CD it apparently recorded and showed sound waves in window, saved the file etc.and played back got signals like 000's of bits like text ,no sound ,I get undistorted sound full volume at system speakers what I can't get is sound thru GW,get these same apparent signals,sound will come in thru both Line in & Mic.There are no error messages and C Media Wave device I have selected for both play & record.

From the start I printed out GW help as a manual and have read trouble-shoot.After your comments I double checked all my moves and logged them.I then took out the new sound card CMI 8738 and uninstalled the audio drivers and installed the latest on the card CD as the onboard sound is CMI 8738 too. My project was to convert My Classic LP.s to CD I rounded up 3 sets of instructions saying ,Oh so simple.well not on your Nellie for me.
I went thru the items and the on brd.card notes from Chris 9 Aug 04.
